Power Mamas is sequenced for pre- and postnatal women who want a well-earned sweat, with modifications for baby bumps. It’s a balance between Pre/Postnatal and Power Yoga and is not practiced in the heat. Any students are welcome!

 
As a rule of thumb, it is not recommended to start anything new during your pregnancy. Please visit with your doctor prior to taking your first yoga class.

Your soft-tissue and myofascial system intimately connect your muscles, tendons, bones, nerves, blood vessels and organs. They keep a detailed record of your past, affect you in the present and influence your future. Our holding patterns, habits, go-to stances and even beliefs create and shape our form.

 
Self-myofascial release is a practice of using specially designed tools to access, differentiate, explore and ultimately release adhesions and restrictions. Explore the science behind SMR and the techniques that can bring significant and lasting relief to this body we use and work in our asana practice. This workshop will take a large picture/full body perspective and include in-depth discussion of the system at play, and how to heal them.

Explore your inner strength and grace.

 
This workshop is designed to help you build a healthy and empowering arm balance practice whether you’re working on coming into some of these poses or want to take them to the next level.

 
We will focus on a few template poses like bakasana (crow) and parsva bakasana (side crow) and learn how to skillfully approach them so that we can apply that understanding to other arm balances in the same families. We will also look at fun ways to transition in and out of these poses.

 
Note: To make the most of this workshop it is strongly advised you do not take another class on the same day.

While our vinyasa yoga engages our muscles and encourages this faster pace, it is yin yoga that requires us to slow down, turn inwards and quiet our mind. This quiet mind allows us to remain longer in seated postures as the postures target our bones, joints, tendons, organs and myofacial tissues. The multiple energy meridians (highways) in our bodies begin to clear and open again, allowing prana or chi (energy) to travel more freely throughout our body, leaving us with a greater sense of peace and well-being to live our lives more fully and consciously.
